Along with their adult children, Dr. Richard Bacon M.D., a resident of Leola, and Ephrata resident Nancy Groff, are pleased to announce their engagement.
Nancy retired in 2011 from Zerbe Sisters Nursing Center, where she served as the administrator of health care services. She is a graduate of Ephrata High School, class of 1966, Lancaster General Hospital School of Nursing, and Elizabethtown College.
Dr. Bacon retired in 2013 from New Holland Family Medical Center after 36 years of practice. He is a graduate of Chatham Central High School in Chatham, New York, and Syracuse University. He completed medical school at S.U.N.Y. Upstate Medical Center, then moved to Lancaster in 1974 to complete his family practice residency at Lancaster General Hospital.
A fall 2016 wedding is planned. The couple then plan to reside in Ephrata.
