There will be an auction art preview reception at Landis Homes on Aug. 8, with a wide variety of art on display that will be auctioned on Sept. 9.
Artwork this year includes originals and limited edition prints donated by local artists and supporters of fine art. Some of the artworks featured are by Suk Shuglie, Paris Wyatt Llanso, Julia Swartz, Liz Hess, Lee Lovett, Christiane David, Kyong Sill Shin, Velma Magill, Freiman Stoltzfus, Cindy Schlosser, Andy Smith, Steve Wilson, and more.
The preview reception will be held in Harvest View Gallery at Landis Homes from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Some of the artists will be at the reception to meet the public and discuss their work. Quilts, handcrafts, and many other auction items will also be on display. Live music will be provided by Janet Eberly on keyboard.
The show will continue to be on display until Sept. 6. Beginning Aug. 1, auction items may also be seen in an online gallery at landishomes.org.
The artworks portion of the auction on Sept. 9 will begin at approximately 10:45 a.m. with Abe Diffenbach as the auctioneer. In addition, a cash and carry gallery will feature donated art pieces and frames that may be purchased throughout the day.
