Robert L. and Darla J. (Shenk) Wanner celebrated 60 years of marriage recently. They were married on Oct. 20, 1958.
The Wanners were blessed with three children: Cynthia (Alan) Styer, Sharon (Jay) Dull Sr., and Brian (Kristie) Wanner. Additional blessings include five grandchildren: Lori (Shawn) Herr, Derek Styer, Jay Dull Jr., Cole Wanner and Grayce Wanner; and two great-grandchildren: Ashlee Herr and Logan Styer.
Robert retired from the former Alcoa plant, with 40 years of service. After retirement, he had worked for Reuben King Painting and Shady Maple, part time. Darla retired from John Martin’s grocery store. She previously worked at Colebrook Terry Manufacturing for several years.
They both enjoy traveling, especially to their favorite place &tstr; Williamsburg, Va. In addition, they treasure spending time with family and friends.
To honor them, and celebrate this special moment in their lives, the family gave them a surprise party.
